The Environmental Health staff receive many requests from County residents seeking information concerning a specific archived land record; these requests are called "file lookups".
At present we have an urgent need for volunteers to complete these "file lookup" requests using the Health Department’s Microfiche Reader.
All volunteers receive hands-on training. Our volunteer hours are (M-F) from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Whatever time you can offer will be appreciated by our staff. Typically, our volunteers come in once or twice a week for a few hours.

The mission of the Chester County Health Department is to promote, protect, and preserve the health and environment of the residents of the County of Chester.
Description
The Chester County Health Department is mandated to deliver public health and environmental services within the 760 square mile area that encompasses Chester County, PA. Services provided by the Department are available to County residents regardless of race, color, religious creed, ancestry, national origin, age, handicap, or sex.
Volunteers assist staff in a variety of general office duties or occasionally on specific program tasks according to their qualifications and the need.
