Heroes in Action (HIA) seeks a volunteer to serve as our Photo & Video Coordinator. Under the leadership of the Board of Directors, the Photo & Video Coordinator will embrace the value of helping police officers, firefighters and military veterans by documenting a wide variety of local service projects, fundraising events, program activities and training.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides photography services at HIA events and projects.
2. Coordinates photography volunteers at events.
3. Captures and edits photos and videos for HIA website and social media.
4. Optimize pictures for social media.
5. Recruit and train volunteers as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
1. Strong attention to detail.
2. Understanding of the creative process and how to yield the best work.
3. Microsoft Office, Photoshop
4. Must have access to a DSLR camera.
5. Video skills or ability to lead a video volunteer.

EXPERIENCE:
Ability to organize plan and schedule priorities. Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive material and confidentiality. Solid follow through and attention to detail. Knowledge of public safety / military veteran culture preferred.

JOB FUNCTION:
Marketing, Public Relations

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Volunteer: 2-3 hours per week. Slightly higher when events are occurring.
