Heroes in Action (HIA) seeks a volunteer to serve as a member of our Liaison team. HIA Liaison’s embrace the value of helping police officers, firefighters and military veterans by building relationships among Federal, State, Local and community organizations. Serves as initial Heroes in Action point of contact. Coordinates day of event needs for respective agencies.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serve as initial point of contact for Heroes in Action
2. Attends HIA events to ensure respective agency needs are meet.
3. Works with similar organizations to identify cross marketing opportunities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
1. Willingness to engage with unfamiliar people.
2. Problem solving and analytic skills.

EXPERIENCE:
The Liaison’s focus is on interfacing with agencies that have employees or clients which also align with HIA’s stakeholders. Experience establishing partnerships with government organizations or engaging with corporate leadership is helpful.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Volunteer: 2-3 hours per week. Slightly higher when events are occurring.
