Do you want to help a dependent (foster) child in your community by becoming their court-appointed special advocate? Known as CASA in other states, in Florida, the Guardian ad Litem Program recruits volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused, neglected, and abandoned children. The Guardian will become familiar with a child's dependency case and make recommmendations to the court to ensure a safe, caring, stable and permanent home for the child.
Time committment is approximately 9-12 hours per month over a period of about one year, or until the child is adopted or reunited with his/her family. We also need volunteers to help with filing at our Daytona Beach office. Please call today!
