Tutoring

The Neighborhood Resource Center's after-school program provides youth with the opportunity to enjoy a healthy homecooked meal, receive homework help, and enroll in a variety of educational and cultural classes. One such class is the writer's workshop class. Youth work with the writing coach on developing individual songs, stories, and poems as well as working on group activities such as writing plays and story telling. This class is offered on Wednesdays from 5:00-6:00 and we are searching for volunteers to either lead the class or assist the leader with the class. Leaders are responsible for developing their own curriculum and implementing the writing activities to the students. Assistants will assist the leader with the activities and behavior management.
