"Lunch at the Library" volunteers will work in a team to deliver prepared lunches to participating children. Each volunteer will have assigned tasks that can vary each day. By working together, the volunteer team will ensure that all children who come in for the free lunch will receive a healthy meal in a happy and safe environment. A minimum of 5 shifts is required throughout the summer.
Hunger prevents children from reaching their potential and diminishes their capacity to learn. Participation will ensure that hungry children are fed and that they can enjoy part of their summers at the library.
