Our Mission
The Multnomah County Friends of the Library advocates on behalfof the library and helps fund programs and services beyond what is allocated in the Multnomah County Library District’s operating budget. For example, we were instrumental in helping the 2012 ballot initiative creating the library district approved by voters. We fund a variety of programs and services that supplement standard offerings, including but not limited to the Pageturners book clubs at branch libraries, adult literacy programs and programs for children and adults of all ages.
