The Easter Seals Business Mentoring Program is recruiting volunteers in Greater Boston and Worcester to become mentors to adults actively seeking sustainable employment.

Program Summary
The Easter Seals Business Mentoring Program links participants in the Easter Seals Job Training and Employment Program with business professionals. Mentors volunteer their time to develop a relationship with their mentees in order to facilitate career development.

Mentors conduct mock interviews, stress the importance of business etiquette, and offer constructive input and feedback concerning networking, interviewing and follow-up. They also may work exclusively with individuals who are currently employed, serving as a supportive contact. Individuals with expertise in social networking, blogging and other activities also are encouraged to volunteer as mentors.

Duties and Responsibilities
Mentors will be responsible for interacting with their assigned mentees for at least one hour per month. They may meet with them in person or communicate with them by phone or email, depending on the needs of the mentee. A minimum three-month commitment is required. Mentors serve as role models.

Requirements and Qualifications
A mentor must be successfully employed for more than 2 years and complete a volunteer application and interview.
