Volunteers need to SLEEP!!!
Overnight Relief Managers are responsible for keeping the Ronald McDonald House running smoothly for our guest families when our Resident Manager is off on weekends and holidays. Duties during the day include answering the phone and the door, taking guest referrals, registering guests staying at the House and otherwise keeping the House a welcoming refuge for families supporting their child receiving care from the hospital. Volunteers may retire for the night anytime after 9pm and have the House up and open by 8am. Shifts are flexible lasting 12-18 hours.

Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Its programs are grassroots-driven to enable the Charity to offer help where children need it most - right in their own communities. RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives through its global network of local Chapters in 52 countries and its three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. These programs provide a bridge to accessible health care and allow families more time together, which help in the healing process. RMHC and its global network of local Chapters also have awarded more than $460 million in grants and program services to children's programs around the world.
RMHC of Burlington, VT operates The Ronald McDonald House in the heart of downtown Burlington just a few blocks away from the University of Vermont Children's Hospital; The Ronald McDonald Family Room located right on the patient care floor of UVM Children's Hospital; and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile that partners with rural schools around the state to provide dental services to youth who are in need.
