Teaching Assistants work hands-on with a student with a disability each week. Activities can include anything from tossing a bean bag back and forth to completing a small obstacle course. We ask that our Teaching Assistants simply be a friend to our students.
Each class meets once a week for 30 minutes. If the Sardis Class (time and dates) do not work with your schedule, contact us for other classes.

Description
The teaching assistant will be working one on one with a child with a disability or a child "at risk". Classes are held once a week throughout Charlotte and are thirty minutes long. A volunteer will assist a child with a disability by steadying them if they appear to be unstable, demonstrating techniques they are not familiar with, and most importantly, being a friend.
