Volunteers are needed to care for cats staying in the Petsmart 24/7 Cat Care Adoption Center on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
This volunteer will clean cages, change bedding, refresh water and food, scoop litter boxes, take out trash, sweep the floor, brush, pet and give lots of love to the cats. We also need a volunteer that can do laundry for bedding. Cats are typically let out of their cage for exercise while the cage is being cleaned. The volunteer should be comfortable with retrieving the cat and placing it back in the cage. There are 8-10 cages in the adoption center.
The volunteer must be a mature, responsible adult who is able to work independently and is comfortable handling cats. Good judgement is needed as some cats are fearful in the environment of the adoption center.
This job will require 1-2 hours of your time, the same day every week. It can be done at your convenience between the hours of 2 pm and 8 pm. Training will be provided. There is not a specific end date but we would need notice to find a replacement for your specific day.
Winging Cat Rescue's adoption center is inside Petsmart, 1810 Cumming Highway, Canton, GA 30114.

Description
Winging Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization & licensed rescue in the state of Georgia. We are an all volunteer, foster-based rescue group dedicated to saving abandoned cats & kittens from high-kill shelters. They are then fully vetted and available for adoption.
Our full vetting includes: spay/neuter, microchip, combotested for FeLV and FIV, deworming and flea treatment, and age appropriate vaccinations.
We are strong ADVOCATES & SPONSORS of SPAY/NEUTER CLINICS, and have provided hundreds of Spay/Neuter Vouchers to help reduce cat & kitten over-population.
