Here is an opportunity to be part of an organization which is dedicated to bringing English language skills to non-English speaking adults in the Southwest Valley. This is a permanent part-time, paid office position Monday through Thursday, four hours a day (16 hours per week).
We need an experienced office person who is bi-lingual in Spanish/English, has personable and professional phone skills, computer competence with the Microsoft Office 365 office suite and the Access database. The person must be well organized, able to multi-task and is dedicated to the success of the Southwest Valley Literacy Association.
You will be sending communications, updating Access database information, tracking tutoring hours, preparing monthly reports, giving student assessments, scheduling tutor/student placements, maintaining office teaching materials and representing Southwest Valley Literacy to all who contact us. Training will be provided.

Southwest Valley Literacy Association is dedicated to providing English Literacy education to both English and non-English speaking adults in the Southwest Valley communities of Maricopa County. SVLA enables adults to improve their employability, help their children with school, and become engaged in their communities!
Description
Southwest Valley Literacy is an independent non-profit serving adults since 1976. We train volunteer tutors to teach English in small group settings. Volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and do not need to speak any language other than English, and are asked to volunteer 2 hours per week. Tutors and students are residents of the West Valley (Avondale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Buckeye, Tolleson).
