Heartland Hospice is looking to plan a memorial walk at the end of July for the families of patients. What is the purpose of a memorial walk? A memorial walk has several purposes. Most of all it should provide a safe place for family and friends to honor the one who has died. They should feel held up, free to cry, laugh, celebrate and remember.
Heartland needs YOUR help to make this event happen. Volunteers are the backbone of these type of events. You are needed in order to help plan, set up, direct, and run the memorial walk. Volunteers give the donation of time and that is what makes our Volunteer Services Program successful!

Mission Statement
Heartland Hospice provides quality care to patients with a limited life expectancy, as well as support to their families and caregivers. Formerly known as ProMedica Hospice, Heartland enhances the quality of life of those we serve through palliative and specialized supportive care designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of the patients and caregivers. Hospice care is provided by using an interdisciplinary approach in delivering care to patients--either in their own homes or extended care facilities--while working cooperatively with other health care providers and other community resources. Heartland Hospice strives to provide care to all who are eligible and need hospice care irrespective of ability to pay. Heartland is part of Gentiva Health Services.
