ON-SITE SUPERVISOR: Construction Manager
REPORTS TO: Construction Manager
GENERAL SUMMARY: Habitat Greater San Francisco is looking for internship applicants who are interested in learning some basic skills in the electrical trade. A 28-condo development in San Francisco will be the training site for a great opportunity to learn a trade while contributing to a good cause. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Participants must be at least 17 years old and commit to working three days per week for 12 weeks at the site. The site is easily accessible from Daly City BART. Specifically, Habitat Greater San Francisco is looking for: - Residential Electrical Interns, - New Construction Plumbing Interns, - Finish Carpentry Interns, - Construction Leadership Interns, and - General Construction Interns. OUR MISSION: Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco partners with working families and the community to build affordable ownership homes in San Francisco, Marin, and the Peninsula.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the guidance of the Construction Managers, construction interns will play a vital role in building 28 townhomes for deserving Bay Area families.
EXPERIENCE: Some experience in construction is helpful, but none is necessary.
SCHEDULE/TIME COMMITMENT: Participants must commit to working 3 to 4 days per week for 8 to 12 weeks at the site.
TRAINING PROVIDED: Interns will be provided with instruction and hands-on experience.
