We are looking for a motivated, self-starting, individual who is dedicated to making our neighborhoods more sustainable. Our organic garden program tranforms lawns into gardens in an educational environment.
All of our seedlings are grown by Elementary students. We are looking for someone to oversee that this part program continues to run smoothly.
You must be able to pass a background check and be comfortable working with kids. You will be managing several other volunteers. Great communication and positive attitude are a must!
-Ensure weekly cirricula and materials are present (we can help with this)
-Recruit and maintain 4 volunteers per class
-Organize weekly snacks (this is usually delegated to the other volunteers)
-Keep excellent communication between organization, school, and volunteers.
-Represent Jovial Concepts in a caring and Jovial Manner.
-Be avaialable Monday and/or Thursday from 2:30-4pm during school year
-Can commit to 5 hours per week.
