Job Summary :
The Small Grants Manager is responsible for managing a team of grant writers in order to research and apply for funding opportunities for Green Lifestyles Network. In this capacity, the Small Grants Manager will ensure that funding proposals are completed and submitted to the granting organization within the time frame indicated on the proposal /application.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Determine GLN needs and work with department managers to research and a pply for funding opportunities; •Prepare proposals and grant applications in the time period indicated on the grant guidance/proposal. •Ensure all documents are true and factual; • Maintain supporting documentation for any possible audits ; • Create and finalize all aspects of the grant application including the budget, letters, rep orts and etc ; • Establish and maintain personal contact s and relationships with depa rtment managers, boards and etc ; • Maintain calendar to ensure timely submission of grant proposals, ap plications, letters and reports; • Prioritize and assign projects to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner, meet deadlines an d manage supplemental materials; • Serve as the subject matter expert on all items related to grants; • Manage/supervise other grant writ ers under the Small Grants team; •Search for other grant writers, as needed and make hiring recommendations.More opportunities with Green Lifestyles Network

Green Lifestyles Network provides opportunities to get involved, affect change, be heard, and influence others for the benefit of all living beings through our website, Green Lifestyle TV (GLTV), the Green Lifestyles International Festivals, our ecoFilm Salons and ecoFashion & Beauty Salons in Los Angeles as well as with our partners and supporters. We provide sustainable living recommendations, projects, products, events, business opportunities from our partners and sponsors as well as information on health, home, beauty, recreation and all other environmental issues.
Mainstream Media seems to be becoming more of a mouth piece for profit making entities rather than a place to find unbiased information and mentorship. To challenge this, Green Lifestyles through its international film festival, multimedia website and Internet TV station has positioned itself as the public voice to a worldwide audience. Effectively communicating green lifestyle alternatives through our website, our GLTV web channel and the international festivals is "the" challenge we embrace at Green Lifestyles as we look to end the artifically manufactured chemical dumb-down of society.
Sustainable living must progress beyond its elitist roots. Cost-effective solutions to living sustainable lives are crucial to advance human intellect, the health and prosperity of living beings as well as secure the natural integrity of the environment.
