We realize that the best and brightest students are seeking high quality learning opportunities through hands-on learning experiences. Imagination Station is offering such an opportunity to highly motivated individuals as a part of our Graphics team for 2015 Spring and Summer semesters. Through this unpaid internship you can gain solid, real-life experience and become actively involved in many levels of marketing and Graphics. You'll gain an expanded skill set, proven results, a greater understanding of what it takes to be successful in the current business environment and a greater sense of confidence in your abilities. Most importantly, you'll have fun building a solid foundation on which to successfully launch your career.
Individuals will participate in all tasks associated with the design and production of Marketing collateral for Imagination Station. Exhibit design, components and interpretive signage are also a part of the day to day responsibilities of the Graphics team, and interns will participate in various phases of those tasks.
Projects and benefits include:
- 2-D advertising layouts, brochures, postcards and posters. Brand standards are incorporated, and direct supervision provided.
- Production includes in-house digital printing, trimming and minimal installation.
- Required software expertise: CS4 (or above) with an emphasis on Illustrator, Photoshop and In Design.
- Experience with print/production terminology is desired, but will be taught if needed.
- Expertise in Word/Excel and Hype is a plus
- Experience with verbal communication, math and presentation skills
- The design and production of exhibit and way-finding signage is included in the position; material knowledge (substrates, vinyl, laminate, etc.) will be learned.
- Availability of new portfolio pieces.
Hours are flexible to suit class schedules between 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Personal interviews are required. All candidates must be willing to submit a drug screen and background check.
