ORGANIZATION: Imagination Station

The Development Intern will assist with all duties regarding donors and contributions to the science center. This internship will require a commitment of 15-20 hours per week. Candidate must possess a professional appearance and ability to represent Imagination Station with the utmost integrity.

  • Build the Development database by entering data for individual, corporate and foundation donors
  • Create sponsor recaps in PowerPoint for corporate donors by compiling all collateral, statistics and photos relevant to the sponsorship
  • Regularly compose thank you letters to donors
  • Fulfill Corporate Membership benefits by assigning admission passes, discount vouchers to our Science2Go store and membership coupons and mailing or delivering packets to the company
  • Research foundations and identify suitable prospects for the Foundation Officer
  • Maintain grant record-keeping by updating current grant binders and creating binders for new funders
  • Update grant tracking reports
  • Compile Adopt-a-School student letter booklets for individual funders
  • Recruit schools to visit Imagination Station when designated Adopt-a-School funds have been provided (during the school year only)
  • Assist the Development team with THE BASH fundraiser; responsibilities will include correspondence with donors & participating restaurants, ticket fulfillment, securing/collecting auction items, etc.

This is an unpaid position; eligible for credit hours only. Hours are flexible to suit class schedules between 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
