Creating Art...Changing Lives

Life Pieces To Masterpieces is an arts-based, youth development and education non-profit located in Washington, D.C. We serve African American males ages 3-25 in Ward 7 and 8 and support them as they develop character and leadership, unlock potential, and prepare to transform their lives and communities.

Description

This position’s primary responsibility is to raise awareness and promote our community dialogue, Color Me Community Conversations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing action plan to reach a greater audience

  • Research target markets and contacts

  • Develop marketing and promotional material for Color Me Community

  • Research potential locations for future Color Me Community Conversations

  • Assist with marketing in other projects

  • Other duties as assigned

Life Pieces To Masterpieces uses artistic expression to develop character, unlock potential, and prepare African American boys and young men t o transform their lives and community.

Description

LPTM is an arts-based after school, summer and saturday academy program that provides opportunities for our young apprentices to develop into gentlemen, scholars, artists, and athletes.

We engage our apprentices in our unique human development system that is designed to foster self growth and empowerment.Apprentices are encouraged to use our human development system, known as the LPTM Basics, to develop artistic, leadership, and social/emotional literacy.

Through our signature artistic style, the apprentices create collective art pieces that tell their life stories.

In addition to creating artwork, we engage our apprentices in various enrichment activities such as academic tutoring, drumming, yoga, chess, and public speaking.
