Give a break to a senior caregiver!
ORGANIZATION: Citizens Who Care, Inc.
Please visit the new page to apply.
Caregiving for a spouse is often an exhausting experience and many caregivers never get a break to refresh and regroup. The volunteer will be asked to sit and visit with an elderly man once a week for two hours while his wife takes a break. An older male volunteer would be best. Volunteer is there to make sure the client remains safe, no hands on care is required or allowed. Clients are assessed prior to placement with a volunteer to make sure a placement is appropriate.
