Gain valuable tutoring experience while assisting adult participants in the Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota Computer Lab! Volunteers will assist participants with becoming more self-sufficient by working with them to utilize computers and online technology as it relates to securing employment and achieving their goals. Volunteers will assist participants with basic functions of the computer, explain computer terminology, and provide personalized assistance. Skills needed: general computer knowledge and familiarity with basic computer functions such as web browsing, Microsoft Word, typing, etc. An interest in teaching or tutoring is a must as well as a high level of patience and ability to work with people who have diverse needs, including but not limited to: low computer literacy, English language learners, reading and learning disabilities.
