Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Citizens Who Care, Inc.

Caregiving for a spouse is often an exhausting experience and many caregivers never get a break to refresh and regroup. The volunteer will be asked to sit and visit with an elderly woman once a week for two hours while her husband takes a break. A female volunteer would be best. Volunteer is there to make sure the client remains safe, no hands on care is required or allowed. Clients are assessed prior to placement with a volunteer to make sure a placement is appropriate.
