A step back in time -Homestead Volunteers needed!

Step back in time and help nature center visitors explore our Homestead Cabin, Farm and Schoolhouse. Volunteers chat with visitors, help in the garden, play old-time games or demonstrate a variety of skills such as ropemaking, corn grinding or cooking in the cabin. Our season runs Sunday afternoons, 1:00-5:00pm (volunteer shift is 12:30-5 pm) from May 25 - August 31, 2014. Homestead Sunday volunteers commit to spending at least 5 Sundays on the farm/schoolhouse throughout the summer season. Prior experience or extensive history background NOT needed, we are looking for people who enjoy speaking with visitors, training on games and activities will be provided.
