Our Saviour's Housing (OSH) is a non-profit organization that provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing for nearly 500 adults each year. In early 2013, we launched a new health initiative - a resident health club we call Lifestyle Lift-up. The homeless population served at Our Saviour's Housing is at a disadvantage when considering living a healthy lifestyle due to their lack of education and financial resources. To combat this and work with our residents interests, we work with a number of professional community volunteers to provide a variety of healthy activities. Currently, the Lifestyle Lift-up program consists of massage, haircuts, and healthy eating and cooking classes.
Our Saviour's Housing is looking for a Resident Health Program Summer Intern to help maintain this programing by connecting with our community volunteers, participating and overseeing these activities, and marketing each activity to residents. This internship position is a semester or school year commitment, 10-15 hours a week.
