The Newburgh Ministry is a multi-cultural community center located in the City of Newburgh’s East End. In solidarity with our neighbors we accompany each other in presence, service, and transformation. Believing in the dignity and worth of each person, The Newburgh Ministry is committed to nonviolence and to work for justice and change.

With just a few hours of do-it-yourself volunteering, you can put together hygiene kits for clients in our programs. These kits can include simple, inexpensive items that can be picked up when grocery shopping or with a quick trip to the dollar store.

Kits can contain the following:

· Toiletries (may include: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, Baby Formula, Diapers, All of these items can fit conveniently in a large zip lock bag)

· Cleaning Supplies (may include: laundry detergent, dish soap, sponges, Lysol wipes)

· Household items (may include: bath towels, linen, picture frames, key chains)

· "Exploring New York" materials (may include: guide to free events/activities in the city, subway map, a plastic folder for documents or a change purse or lanyard for carrying MetroCard, ID, EAD, etc.)

• For those with immediate need: (may include: granola bars, canned food items, cereal, and food coupons)
  
  
• Seasonal: (may include: bathing sutis, Halloween Costumes)

Additional Information: Prior to the start of your service, please confirm with Volunteer Services the specific quantity and items you would like to donate.
