Breakthrough Twin Cities is recruiting volunteers for our Summer 2014 Cohort of College Essay Coaches! Coaches will assist rising seniors with their personal essay to be submitted with their college applications.
Coaches work one-on-one with a student during our half-day writing retreat to develop a strong, first draft of their college essay. They commit to approximately 10 hours of service during the month of August

Description
Breakthrough Twin Cities employs a "Students Teaching Students" model of education common to all programs in the Breakthrough Collaborative. During our summer programs and throughout the school year, our college-bound students are supported by college and older high school students, our staff, and volunteers, through classes, enrichment activities, and 1-1 support.
