DESCRIPTION:

We are a unique business neighborhood located in the area of West 50th Street and France Avenue in Edina and Minneapolis. 50th & France features over 175 retailers and professional services ranging from apparel for men, women and children; jewelers, an array of spas and salons to pamper yourself, an art-house movie theatre, countless specialty and gift boutiques, a gourmet grocery store and so much more.

The purpose of the 50th & France Business and Professional Association is to promote the general welfare and economic well-being of the 50th & France business district and to accomplish more collectively than could be achieved individually in the following areas:

Advertising, Marketing & Promotions, Operations, Member Communications, Community Relations, Public Relations, Member Services, Development Issues & Government Relations

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

-Assist with blog (writing and taking pictures)

-Assist in writing press releases

-Maintain/promoting social media accounts with 50th & France and the events we hold (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pintrest, etc)

-Keeping track of 50th & France advertising

-Create & examine marketing campaigns

-Develop and execute strategic social media plan

-Generating traffic and grow audience to 50th & France

-Support Marketing Director

-Monitor and measure the impact of social media sites

-Keep integrity and consistency of 50th & France

-Brainstorming and creating promotions

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must be a self-starter after given direction. Have a strong verbal and written communication skills. Organization skills and the ability to work independently in and out of the office. Applicant must have creative problem solving skills, strong work ethic and a positive outlook.

Strong and in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media sites. Working toward a degree in marketing, public relations, communications or business is preferred.

Applicants must be able to come in at least once a week for 1-5 hours at a time and be able to work at home and complete projects on time.

Video editing and graphic design skills is a plus.
