Do you have a strong academic background and/or experience with ACT/SAT preparation? If so, we are in need of an individual that can help our scholars get ready for these exams. This can either be through volunteering your time or helping us develop a curriculem that can be used by a paraprofessional.
The scholars in our after-school program are highly motivated high achieving students that are looking for assistance in reaching college. We help to provide tutors, mentors, job shadowing opportunities, cultural experiences, and anything else that may help them become a well-rounded individual. Unfortunately, we do not have funds to pay for your services, but our volunteers, staff, and students would greatly appreciate any assistance that you can provide.

At BHGHCO, education is seen as the key to self-sufficiency and college is the avenue towards a career for a stable future. For over 25 years, BHGHCO has been providing a pathway to a successful future for young people who have the ambition and determination to achieve a college education and a life of service but do not have the supports to reach this goal. We believe that motivated children can overcome significant barriers and develop their inherent talents when engaged in strong relationships and opportunities for academic and character development. By opening a doorway of opportunity for these young scholars through year-round college-preparatory supports, they are able to thrive in an environment that empowers them and allows them to develop their life skills and strengths.
