Kansas City Wildlands

Come Plant the Prairies! We will be planting native wildflower seedlings on three sites across the Kansas City region. These seedlings have been grown for KC WildLands by Powell Gardens, from seed collected by Kansas City WildLands Seed Team last year. If time allows, we will remove some invasive plants that are threatening to take over these incredible natural communities, giving the newly planted native flowers a chance to grow strong!

Please click on the site below and register on line. Space is limited at each site. All volunteers must register in advance. After you complete our online registration, you will receive an auto-email with more information, including day-of contact phone number and exactly how to get to the workday destination.

Mission Statement

Bridging The Gap's mission is to make the Kansas City region sustainable by connecting environment, economy and community.

Description

Bridging The Gap (BTG) educates citizens, businesses and governments about the impact their decisions have on our environment. We help them follow through with direct action to make our world, region and community green, healthy and sustainable.

BTG does this by working to create awareness of our environment and the need to make our communities sustainable at every level and in all life activities -- in homes, workplaces, schools and neighborhoods. In all of our work, we seek to create partnerships among governments, businesses, community leaders and individuals to improve our community by making it healthy and sustainable for our future.
