Summary: The Foundation Volunteer is an unpaid longer-term volunteering opportunity responsible for providing project and event support to the Foundation department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Administrative jobs include, but not limited to:
- Data entry projects as needed
- Provide support of routine and non-routine tasks such as event logistics, direct mailings, and research
- Filing and/or creating files for documents, paperwork, reports and other pertinent papers of the department
- Ensuring that file binders and/or folders are properly labeled for ease in identification, classification and access
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Some college or AA, BA/BS preferred. A minimum of 6 months in a related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Position requires the following: ability to read, identify and classify documents such as clippings, postcards, contracts, news items, coupons and reports; ability to speak effectively with management and employees; able to file alpha-numerically.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Intermediate skill level in Microsoft office suite products including Outlook, Word, Excel and a working understanding of a network and shared folders.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the volunteer is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The volunteer is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The volunteer must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
