Work one-on-one with an adult learner who is seeking to improve his reading, writing or math ability or to learn English. Opportunities at 16 chapters of the Literacy Coalition of Colorado in the counties surrounding Metro Denver or Summit County. Flexible hours and locations are available.
Also a Volunteer Training Workshop specifically for tutors of English learners will be offered Saturday morning, April 23. 2016, at Daniels Foundation, 101 Monroe Street, Denver. No knowledge of foreign languages is needed. Registration begins April 8th online. Details to follow or contact Ann Mezo, wam31@comcast.net after April 1st.

The Literacy Coalition of Colorado's mission is to promote and foster literacy throughout the state by offering professional development and volunteer recruitment, training and placement. The Coalition networks with adult literacy providers and advocates.
Description
The Literacy Coalition of Colorado supports literacy providers and offers training for educators, administrators and volunteer tutors through four annual training workshops. Volunteers are placed with literacy providers in their areas. Students and volunteers are referred to appropriate programs through emails and telephone calls.
