Ogden's End Community Garden Spring Kick-Off

ORGANIZATION: Riverview Neighborhood Association

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Since adopting the lot in 2012, local residents have c arted off hazardous debris, uprooted invasive weeds, brought in tons of clean soil, and mapped out the area for even greater transformation.

These efforts are being led by Farms in the Heights and the Riverview Neighborhood Association - two local non-profits who have taken it upon themselves to turn blight into beauty. Our ultimate vision is for an open and inviting urban space that encourages all community residents to enjoy the garden. There will be a picnic area for family use and one day, hopefully, a dog run. But right now, there’s just a lot of work to do.

Here’s where you come in. On Sunday, April 27 from 10am until 2pm, we will kick off our summer season. We invite you to join us. If you’re willing to get your hands dirty, we’ll put you to work. If you need to stay clean, come out anyway. There’s no pressure. Meet your neighbors and see our plans for Ogden’s End Community Garden. Coffee, snacks and gardening tools will be provided.

Great opportunity for students who need community service hours.
