ORGANIZATION: RSVP of Rockland

Are you 55 plus years of age? The RSVP Rockland Program places volunteers throughout non-profit organizations within Rockland. The Responder Call Bell volunteer will act as first responder in a hospital within their Call Bell Connect Program. The volunteer will answer the call bell phone and then go and see what the patient needs. If it is a non-clinical matter, he/she can assist the patient. If it is a clinical matter, he/she will notify the nurse and will let the patient know when the nurse will arrive.

The mission of the Rockland County RSVP is to help address community needs by recruiting volunteers 55 and older to lend their time and expertise in community service to non-profit agencies and proprietary nursing homes and in so doing to provide them with meaningful and on-going volunteer opportunities.

Description

The Rockland County RSVP is sponsored by Rockland Community College and serves about 150 non-profit agencies including schools, libraries, museums, hospitals, nursing homes, etc. RSVP is the most complete volunteer resource in Rockland County. We have the answers to everything you ever waned to know about volunteering, but did not know who to ask.
