ORGANIZATION: Girl Scouts of Western Ohio

  • 3 people are interested

Girl Scout is the premiere leadership organization for girls, and with over 3 million members, we're just getting started!

We're in need of volunteers for a summer day camp in the Hidden Valley neighborhood of Indiana. Volunteers will facilitate Girl Scout actvities with girls who have already been recruited to participate in this week-long camp.

The camp will run for one week; volunteers can pick and choose which 1/2 day or full day shifts work best for them. Volunteers can choose to come for the whole week, or just one day! We will provide all of the training and supplies that you will need.

The camp is slated to happen in June 9 - 13. The final location is still being worked out.

So grab your friends and come camp like a girl!

Mission Statement

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Description

Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
