Join us at the Columbus Be The Match Walk+Run on Saturday, August 15, 2015. Please volunteer and help us deliver cures!
Each year, thousands of patients need a marrow transplant, but have no donor match in their family. They depend on Be The Match to help them find an unrelated marrow donor and receive treatment. The cure for blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma and 70 other life-threatening diseases is in the hands of ordinary people - your hands.
You can help make Be The Match Walk+Run a success. We need friendly, energetic volunteers ready to donate their time to a great cause. We value our volunteers and encourage a fun and positive volunteer environment - we support you because you support us! You’ll receive the training you need to feel comfortable in your volunteer role, a T-shirt, and the appreciation of everyone who works to help marrow transplant patients.
Volunteer roles include set up, registration, refreshments, course marshal, start/finish line, water stop and breakdown.
The Be The Match Walk+Run raises funds to help patients with uninsured treatment costs, support continued marrow transplant research to improve outcomes, and add more volunteer potential marrow donors to Be The Match Registry, giving more patients hope for a cure.

When you volunteer with NMDP, you are helping blood cancer and blood disease patients get their cure - a blood stem cell transplant from a matching donor. As a volunteer, you can truly impact the lives of patients and their families. Last year, volunteers gave nearly 125,000 hours of their time. This commitment is vital to the life-saving work at NMDP.
