Fairview Hospice is seeking volunteers for shifts at The Arbors at Ridges in Burnsville's Solace Program. There are 3 apartments dedicated to hospice patients in this facility. Volunteers will help support these patients and their families through: 1:1 visits with residents/families Playing games with residents/families Stocking the apartments Helping with meals Going for walks with residents Shifts are available any day of the week. Volunteers may sign up for one or more shifts per week. Most of the patients will be very close to death, so volunteers should have a comfort with the dying process. Training will be provided.

When life expectancy is limited, AccentCare Fairview Hospice staff and volunteers help patients and caregivers focus on improving the quality of their remaining days. Hospice provides medical, emotional, social and spiritual care. We bring these services to the familiar setting of patients' own homes whenever possible. The same kind of care may also be given at a long-term care site, a group home, an assisted living site or a residential hospice.
