Area nursing homes are looking for families to be paired with elderly people who don't have any relatives that live locally. A family "adopts" an elderly person by making regular visits with them, engaging in conversation with them, possibly working on crafts with them, sharing pictures with them, and just generally spending time with them at the nursing home. Great opportunity for families to volunteer together.

Our volunteer program helps assist the Mission of the United Way Manitowoc County improve the quality of life in our community through volunteer and resource development, partnership building, and advocacy. We recruit volunteers to help deliver essential services at numerous non profit agencies throughout Manitowoc County. We assist individuals, families, and groups of all ages find volunteer opportunities that are personally rewarding and help improve the community.
