Join us and help keep quality art and history education alive!

The Springfield Museum is looking to expand our programing by bringing on new educators to create, organize and supervise educational fun with kids and maybe adults at the museum.

We would love to start craft days on Saturdays, or other family events, which we currently completely lack, but our staff is too over extended to plan these needed activities. Our community and kids desperately needs these events to bring them into the museum and teach them about the history of the city and of their heritage!

Description

We are Lane County's only FREE museum! This makes it so that all members of our community can come into the museum and access high quality education.

We feature monthly art and historical exhibits, a permanent historical show, and educational programing for our community. At the Springfield Museum you can learn about the history of Springfield and also expand your knowledge with our many learning opportunities including workshops, lectures and our documentary series.

We have more than 8,000 visitors annually and a digital reach of more than 100,000!

The Museum is housed in the 1911 Oregon Power Company transformer station. Because of its unique architecture and its important role in the early utility industry, the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
