L.A. Works

If you have experience with various web hosting platforms, and designing websites, one of our nonprofit partners needs your help! The United Job Creation Council provides mentoring services to increase access to job interview preparation, job training and retention opportunities for at risk youth, teens and the disadvantaged local population.

UJCC has a website, but its functionality is limited and they currently have to pay to update it, which is not sustainable for them. They would like to move to a free or very inexpensive platform that they can update without incurring charges, and one that they could add social media and online form integrations to relatively easily. As their coach through this process, you will help them replatform their website while keeping their existing branding and content and listening closely to their needs and goals.

This is a deep-dive-type project, and as a volunteer you will work one-on-one as a coach with this organization to help them choose and implement a solution that fits into their strategic plan for serving the community. After an initial meeting to decide on the right solution for the organization and scope the project, we’ll turn you loose to apply your expertise to building UJCC’s capacity to serve those in need!
