We are looking for volunteers to come spend 1:1 time with our residents at The Julia Temple Healthcare Center. Our facility specializes in dementia care, and we need some big-hearted people to come in once a week and chat, play games, read books, and just generally be a friend to some of our residents. Many of our residents have very mild dementia, meaning that interactions are similar to talking with anyone you meet on the street. Our other residents span the range of dementia. It is completely up to you which units you would like to spend time in- our attitude is that everyone needs a friend, and we want our volunteers to be comfortable! Training is provided. If your are interested in getting to know some fabulous people, please contact me for more information!
