At Hospice Advantage, we strongly believe no person should die alone. Our volunteers can be a friend to a patient in the last moments of their life. When a patient begins to actively decline, 24 hour volunteer and staff are present to keep our patient company to ensure they have someone with them at the very end of their life journey. The Compassion Care Team is a great way to be there for a patient in their time of need. Volunteers can play music for the patient, sing to the patient, read books or poems or pray for/with the patient. Volunteers work on an on-call schedule and can take 1-4 hour shifts.

Description
Hospice Advantage is devoted to caring for patients and their families during the death process. Hospice Advantage has two office locations, both in Burr Ridge and Elgin, but cares for patients throughout the DuPage, Cook and Lake counties at various nursing facilities and patient homes.
Our staff comprises of doctors, nurses, CNAs, chaplains, social workers, team coordinators and volunteers. We value the work volunteers do and are seeking individuals who want to help make a difference in a patient's life.
Our volunteers allow our program to thrive by their direct work with patients as well as the help they provide in the office. Volunteers give the gift of companionship to our patients and their families in addition to a generous helping hand to the staff.
