Job Description:
- Assist in planning and executing special events at Warren Village
- Learn to effectively engage donors of all levels
- Learn to enter and track all donor cash contributions, grant awards, and in- kind donations into the fundraising database and create acknowledgement letters to all donors for Warren Village
- Support department’s mailings, to include, but not limited to donor acknowledgement letters, volunteer mailings and other special event mailings
- Assist Volunteer Services Manager with volunteer recruitment, application processing, and other tasks
- Assist with planning and management of signature Holiday Shop event
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks to support the Development department
Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Current student, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Public Relations, Human Services or a related field, or any combination of education and experience that meets these requirements
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate to various constituencies and work effectively with a variety of staff at all levels within the organization
- Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
- Prior experience working independently, as well as within a team environment is important
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to listen, respect and incorporate new learning into job
- Must be committed to Warren Village’s mission and culture
The Development Intern reports to the Director of Development and is a member of the Development team at Warren Village. This position works collaboratively with other team members to meet departmental and organizational goals.

Mentoring and supervision provided to aid in advancement of skills outlined in responsibilities. Application and background check required. Candidate with a personal vehicle preferred, with mileage reimbursement available if performing work tasks. Internship hours flexible to meet intern’s requirement. Preferred 15-20 hours per week. This is an unpaid position.
