We are in need of volunteer groups or individuals to help out at the American Diabetes Association's Annual Diabetes Wellness Day event on Saturday May 3rd.
Volunteering is an awesome way to get involved with the community, and help raise awareness about the seriousness of diabetes.
Below I have highlighted our upcoming event with the number of volunteers needed.
We hope that you will be encouraged to volunteer and help make a difference for such a worthy cause.
What: Diabetes Wellness Day (health expo)
Where: Burton Manor Banquet & Conference Center
27777 Schoolcraft Rd. Livonia, MI. 48150
When: Saturday May 3rd
Time: 7am - 1:30pm (various shifts)
Diabetes Wellness Day @Burton Manor Conference Center Livonia, MI. (Saturday May 3, 2014)
- 40 Volunteers needed
- Set-up from 7-8:30am - (10 volunteers needed)
- Registration/logistics - 8:30am-12:30pm (25 volunteers)
- Tear Down - 12:30pm-1:30pm (20 volunteers needed)
- All Day volunteer from 6:30am - 1:30pm

Please note: Volunteer assignments may require you to sit, stand, walk, or lift. We ask that you please wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Also may include working in inclement weather conditions out in the community at various ADA Events & Programs. Setting up/tearing down tables and displays, handing out diabetes literature, handing out goody bags, interacting with guest answering general questions and or pointing them in the right direction, traffic control etc.
