Do you llive in New Jersey, care about clean water, and want to work together to protect it? Then we invite you to become a CLEAN WATER CHAMP. The goal of this volunteer program is to bring together people who are passionate about clean water and the environment.
Whether you are in college, active in the home, or retired, become a Clean Water Champ. We will help you learn new skills, meet new people, have fun, and turn your passion into results. Together, we can work for a healthy environment and strong economy now and for the future.

Our goal is to match your interests, expertise and availability with our volunteer opportunities. Activities include:
- Meetups, trainings, movie nights, social nights
- Workshop and events series (composting, rain barrels, energy audit, etc.)
- Lobby days, events, and rallies
- Lending expertise and advice
- Engaging in online actions and social media
- Receiving special monthly e-newsletters
- Earning school-related course credits
- Fulfilling community service hours

Mission Statement
Clean Water Action is a one million member organization of diverse people and groups joined together to protect our environment, health, economic well-being and community quality of life. Our goals include clean, safe and affordable water; prevention of health threatening pollution; creation of environmentally safe jobs and businesses; and empowerment of people to make democracy work. Clean Water Action organizes strong grassroots groups and coalitions and campaigns to elect environmental candidates and solve environmental and community problems.
Description
Clean Water Action's one million members, volunteers and seasoned professional staff have built one of the nation's largest, most effective environmental organizations. Clean Water Action's grassroots muscle has been critical in shaping and strengthening laws such as the Clean Water Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act and the Superfund for toxics cleanup.
Clean Water Action provides recognized leadership - at the local, state and national levels - on critically important environmental, health, ecosystem protection and community quality of life concerns.
Clean Water Action is effective because of its large and active grassroots membership base. Clean Water Action's programs are financially effective as well, in part because of their reliance on person-to-person outreach and education methods.
