Sloan’s Lake Rehabilitation Center is on the southeast corner of beautiful Sloan’s Lake in Denver. The patients of our facility can look out over the park, but they rarely have the chance to go for a walk in the sunshine, listen to birds, and people watch. We want to change that! We are looking for some volunteers to come to our facility once a week and go for a walk with a patient- he/she would be in a wheelchair, and you would push. The trail around the lake is flat, and nicely paved, making for a lovely stroll. This is a fun opportunity for individuals, groups, or families- taking a walk is a great way to get to know someone! You can go out with the same patient week after week, or meet someone new each time you come. The walks are usually about 20 minutes, but you can stay out longer is you and the patient both want to. Please come help our patients get some fresh air and sunshine this Spring and Summer!

Description
We are a new, 45-bed rehabilitation center on the shores of Sloan's Lake in Denver. We look forward to bringing in volunteers to help our residents have a more pleasant stay while they're with us.
