Caregivers sometimes need relief from caregiving for an hour or two to relax and rejuvenate in order to continue in their caregiving role. Volunteer Respite workers sit with patients in their homes to allow caregivers this much needed relief. Respite time may include reading, visiting, and playing games with a patient. This volunteer opportunity varies in location and time based on where the recipient lives.

Leading Through Experience! You've gained a lifetime of experience. Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through non-profit, faith-based, and governmental agencies to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of volunteers with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental accident insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
