Celebrate Your Story at the 2014 Young Author's Faire

Tustin Library is looking for supporters of youth and literacy to help us run the Orange County Department of Education's Young Author Faire. This event allows students to come and show off their original writing to friends and family.

The event runs from 11 am - 3 pm. We are looking for people to help do the following: Setup before the event; Work during the event by helping with the children's crafts, directing foot traffic, or manning stations; Help clean up after the event.

Can't make it all day? Volunteer for a three hour shift, 7 am - 10 am; 10 am - 1 pm, or 1 pm - 4pm.

Want to know more about the event? The Young Author's Faire is day with young authors from local schools, plus the authors of children's and teen literature, fun learning activities and crafts, entertainment, and even the Cat in the Hat will be joining us courtesy of PBS So. Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
