Attention friends in the Pittsburgh area, the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation is launching a new fruit tree nursery, just about an hour's drive from Pittsburgh, and we need your help! The nursery will grow thousands of fruit trees to provide public schools and underserved communities with fresh produce and environmental benefits through fruit tree orchard donations.
Please join us Saturday, April 26th (noon) at 280 Roaring Run Rd in Champion, PA to help us put some final touches on the nursery! Those interested in carpooling or following a vehicle to the nursery from Pittsburgh should meet us in the Starbuck's parking lot (2345 Murray Ave in Squirrel Hill) at 11 am, and we will drive to the farm together and spend the day in beautiful Ohiopyle, Seven Springs, and Fallingwater area!

The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation (FTPF) is an international nonprofit charity dedicated to planting fruitful trees to benefit communities, combat global warming and world hunger, and improve the surrounding air, soil, and water.
Description
FTPF programs strategically donate orchards where the harvest will best serve communities for generations, at places such as public schools, city parks, community gardens, low-income neighborhoods, Native American reservations, international hunger relief sites, and animal sanctuaries.
