Mission Statement

"Our mission is to invest in the lives of our ex-offenders by providing comprehensive programs that will aid their re-entry back into their communities; this will result in not being an "Ex-Offender" but a productive, valued member of society."

Description

The Becoming One Community Foundation offers a comprehensive set of programs which aids in reintegrating ex-offenders back into society. We offer the following programs: Job Search Preparation; Financial Management; Healthy Living; Know Your Rights; Housing Assistance; and Community Ambassador. After the completion of our comprehensive collection of programs, our goal is for our clients to become successfully empowered

This foundation is the direct result of a self expression and leadership course that I attended back in September of 2012. Being in this type of similar situation myself a few years ago, I definitely understand the ups and downs of reintroducing yourself back into society. After speaking with many ex offenders and their families, I have discovered that there is definitely a need for such a program. I know there are many programs that may be similar to this particular one; however there are not enough programs to address the needs of so many individuals. Therefore, "The Becoming One Community
Foundation" was born out of a need and concern for what is going on now in today's
world
