Communications/PR Intern The Communications/Public Relations Intern assists the department in the planning and coordination of special events and activities promoting organ and tissue donation throughout Colorado and Wyoming. This position also provides departmental administrative support for the Communications/PR department through material ordering, data entry, printing and mailings and other various support tasks and special projects. QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be motivated, personable and able to communicate with the general public in a tactful and professional manner. Must be reliable and dependable. Ability to work independently. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and part of a team. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists with the organization of the signature events, the Donor Dash and Donor Family Tribute (Colorado & Wyoming), including but not limited to: logistics, planning, coordination of vendors/partners, event signage, materials, scheduling, inventory. Assists with the ordering and inventory of promotional materials. Formulates information and updates for the Donor Alliance website and other volunteer communication. Actively works to increase the Donor Alliance volunteer base throughout Colorado and Wyoming. Assists with the overall administrative support to department including deliveries and pick up of materials from volunteers, research, measurement and record keeping. Assists with the management of staff requests for volunteers and materials. Provides support for the Communications/PR department for organization’s programs, events and community outreach including writing, editing, marketing, social media and public education.
